Creating Your CASPer Account

A new application cycle is upon us – it’s time to start getting everything together to apply to your post-secondary or postgraduate programs. On your program’s website, you may see that taking CASPer is an admissions requirement. So how do you go about reserving your CASPer test?

Creating Your Account

The first step in the CASPer process is to go to the takeCASPer website to register for an account. All of the information you provide while registering for your CASPer account must be the same as the information provided in your application(s) for admission. This means that your name, email, birthdate, etc. must be identical to the information you used to apply to a program or institution. Academic programs will use a variety of ways to ensure that they match your CASPer score with your application. If there are any discrepancies, it will be more difficult for programs to assign your score to your application.

Register for your Account

Once you have registered for your account, keep an eye out for a confirmation email and follow the enclosed link to confirm your email address and proceed with registration. (Don’t see the email? Check your SPAM folder.)

Personal Details

The next step is adding your personal information, meaning your phone number and date of birth. This information is used in the next step to verify your ID, it is also one of the many ways programs are able to match your score to your application.

ID Verification

After entering your personal details, you will progress to the ID verification stage. We accept all forms of government-issued photo ID in order to verify your identity. (Please note that student cards issued by your school are not a valid government-issued ID). Please ensure that all important information is clear and visible. If you registered for your account using a last name that differs from the name on your ID, please reach out to the CASPer support team via email at support@takecasper.com to let us know.

Once you submit your ID, your account details are pending a manual verification against the government ID you submitted. This normally takes 1-2 business days and we will notify you when we complete our review by email. To speed up the process, make sure the photo of your ID is in colour, clear, and the selfie you submit was taken at the time you uploaded your ID, without using any filters.

Once you have completed these steps, you are ready to reserve your test!
